Baking Environment
Here at Wildflour Bakes we want as many people as possible to enjoy our Vegan Bakes.
Everything is egg free and dairy free. We use no products derived from animals – right down to the sprinkles on our cakes and packaging! Wildflour Bakes is 100% plant-based & GMO free
We are happy to say we also offer gluten-free and nut free bakes! Please have a look at our shop to see options. However, because we do not bake in an allergen-free environment, for those with severe allergies, at the moment we do not offer products that are suitable for your consumption, since bakes and foods may contain traces of allergen ingredients.
The Food Standards Agency (FSA) has sent all food businesses in the UK a list of 14 allergens. There are 4 that we use in our kitchen and bakes –
Gluten
This is contained in our plain and self-raising flour. We can substitute to gluten free alternatives such as almond flour, coconut flour, rice flour etc and do not charge extra for this in our cakes.


Nuts
Nuts we may use occasionally include ground almonds, hazelnuts, walnuts, pecans cashews and almonds and pistachios.
Soya
We use Soya Milk in some of our recipes but this can be easily switched with another plant milk at no extra cost

Sulphur Dioxide
We have been advised by our supplier of organic apple cider vinegar that it may contain sulphites as this allergen is used as a preservative in dried fruits, and in prepared lemon juice & vinegars.
So while we can accommodate and make every effort to attempt to keep our ingredients, pans, kitchen tools, etc separate to eliminate the risk of cross contamination; for example we prepare, assemble and package our gluten free and nut free products using different sterilised utensils and working areas, and at different times to standard vegan bakes – cross contamination may still occur.
